Dedication Service In Honor Of Edith And Worth Daniel

A dedication service was held on January 26, 2013 at the Alfred-Washburn Center (AWC) to honor the memory of Edith and Worth Daniel on the occasion of their generous donation to the Center. Their donation will enable the AWC to continue to serve the poor and homeless in our community.

The dedication service was led by Monsignor Michael Reed, Rector of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and retired Bishop Jackson Biggers, the former Episcopal Bishop of Malawi. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Meriweather and George Carr, friends of Edith and Worth, Dr. Daniel Summers and his wife Jan, Martha Desposito, President of the SVdP Council of Pensacola Tallahassee, Deacon Bob Leblanc, Director of the AWC, Chuck Porter, the newly appointed Director of the AWC, and members of the homeless community.
